Harbour Unit (6.1m x 2.4m): big on the inside but the lightest and smallest static for tight sites.
The Harbour static welfare unit is smaller than the Island outside but bigger inside with a large open plan space that can be used for welfare or office. All the normal welfare facilities are provided including tables and chairs for up to eight, chemical toilet, hot wash station, drying room, canteen with sink, microwave and kettle and is fully compliant with Health and Safety Regulations. The Harbour Unit is suitable for just as many men as the Island and it can be delivered by a smaller lorry and can get into less accessible sites. The preferred type for 24hour running; if more than 50 hours per week is required let us know. There are a range of other products designed for extended use, including the Eco Harbour.
Eco Harbour Unit: 24 hour operation and most efficient fuel consumption.
This version of the Harbour does not have a traditional generator but a battery / inverter / generator combined power unit which is self-starting and self-managing and runs the much smaller generator only when required and at optimum efficiency. In a traditional welfare unit the generator can spend a lot of time running at idle or low load which is the condition at which it is least efficient.
The Eco Harbour is heated by a diesel burning cabin heater and not electric heaters powered by a generator. A mini- fridge is provided as part of standard equipment. Compared to a generator-only unit, the Eco Harbour uses much less fuel, providing very large savings in fuel and running costs, huge reductions in CO2 emissions and environmental benefits.
The Eco Harbour should be specified if 24 hour use is required; the power system is designed to be the best for this application.
