Senior Generator Engineer
The Role of Senior Generator Engineer:
As our Senior Generator Engineer, you will provide specialist technical support, oversee the daily workload of the team and ensure the continuous reliability of our power fleet. You will also fully utilise your skills and knowledge to ensure our high quality company standards and understand the impact of great customer service. Key area's of responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage and proactively provide support in the maintenance and repair of our power fleet (and heavy plant when required)
- Plan, support and conduct routine preventative maintenance in line with company standards
- Ensure maintenance and corrective work is carried with best possible turnaround time
- Ensure team compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks, implementing safe working procedures and reducing risk.
- Have the ability to identify any technical problems and implement solutions
Are you the right person for this role?
- A background in a similar role
- A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to the operations of generators and/or heavy plant machinery
- You will be qualified to (S)NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (desirable)
- Be a CSCS Gold Card holder (desirable)
- An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues
- Ability to plan and time manage
- The ability to work in a busy environment
- Customer focused
