Mechanical/Plant Fitter (Workshop Based)

The Role of Mechanical/Plant Fitter  (Workshop based):

Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of our plant hire fleet/machinery and our wide range of construction equipment, the main duties within this role include:

• Professionally and effectively checking and diagnosing mechanical problems
• Repairing and replacing of faulty parts
• Conducting routine maintenance in line with company standards
• Provide the best possible turnaround for Off Hires
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks, implementing safe working procedures, and escalating further concerns to supervisor/ plant operation manager.
• Ensuring high quality company standards and understanding the impact of great customer service.

Are you the right person for this role?

• A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to the operations of heavy plant machinery
• Experience gained in the Plant Industry or similar
• An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues
• The ability to work in a busy environment
• Customer focused
• Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own initiative
