Due to our successful involvement with projects such as the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the V&A Museum of Design in Dundee, Jarvie Plant group is creating approximately 15 new posts from Aberdeen and Dundee to the central belt of Scotland.
The new posts will cover all levels including senior sales managers, operations managers, back office functions, plant fitters and supervisors.
Jarvie’s Business Development Director, David Jarvie said; “The business is on an exciting growth curve so it’s vital we attract people who have the right sector experience.”
The new recruitment opportunities come on top of our £12m investment in new equipment for hire in the past year, including 50 JCB Excavators and our investment in more than 200 new vehicles, including welfare vans equipped with galley food preparation areas and unisex WCs for construction teams working remotely.
The last year has seen our turnover grow 15% to £15m and the number of employees rise from 135 to 150. We have also opened our new Aberdeen depot and relocated our Dundee depot to a new purpose built facility. This is in addition to our depots in Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Grangemouth, Irvine and Paisley.
Apart from the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the V&A Museum project (where we are supplying tower lights and generators), we are also seeing strong growth in the house building sector, particularly in Edinburgh and Glasgow, where we supply a range of accommodation, vans and civil engineering equipment.
